Video Transfer Via Computer
Transferring your old VHS, Hi-8, Film to DVD can be a time consuming task especially if you have large amounts of tape that has to be done. Today, you can transfer your tapes with a camcorder with your personal computer. The concept is simple. You will need to take the output signal from the source (VHS player, hi-8 camcorder) and connect it into the input connection from the camcorder that has a firewire connection. The firewire connection will connect to the computer. This will change the analogue signal to digital. You will need an appropriate software such as Adobe Premiere to capture the footage into the computer. For 1 hour of footage it will take up approximately 24 GB capturing in AVI.Another alternative way is to purchase a DVD Recorder which will capture your video and write it directly onto the DVD.
